


MIRECO is financing part of the funds for establishing substitute businesses and start-up companies in the Abandoned Mine areas to reinvigorate a lagging economy buffeted by a decline of the coal industry, create jobs and accelerate balanced regional development.

Existing beneficiaries: Jeongseon-gun, Samcheok City, Mungyeong City and Yeongwol-gun.
Future beneficiaries: Taebaek City, Boryeong City and Hwasun-gun.
